Who We Are

Broken Gringo started with a nickname, given by beloved friends and neighbors, and a decade of obsessive recipe tinkering in a Colorado kitchen. What began as “here, try this” at backyard cookouts evolved into chefs featuring our sauces on their seasonal menus and friends showing up with empty bottles, asking for more.

We craft small-batch hot sauces, BBQ sauces, condiments, and spice blends that actually taste like something — every bottle draws from a genuine place, flavor tradition, and a real story. Welsh whiskey meets Trinidad Scorpion peppers. Calabrian chilis meet black truffles. Korean gochugaru meets a name your kids will giggle at. This is where you grab a bottle, find a recipe to wreck your kitchen with, and keep up with whatever we’re cooking next.

StrawMango Hot 'Cue

Fresh strawberries, ripe mango, lime, ginger, mint, and habanero chilis. Light, bright, and slightly dangerous. Put it on wings, put it on fish, put it on a spoon and eat it straight — we’ve seen people do it. This is the bottle that turns people into regulars.

Calabrian Truffle Shuffle

Calabrian chilis, Pinot Gris, lemon, Fresno peppers, and real Calabrian black summer truffles. Not truffle oil. Not truffle “flavoring.” Actual truffles. This sauce exists because of a family from the Calabria region of Italy who became part of our family. Local chefs put it on seasonal menus. Yours should too.

A Jerk With Rhythm

Coconut sugar, scotch bonnet chilis, allspice, thyme, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and more. A proper jerk seasoning made the proper way. We didn’t call it done until the people who grew up on jerk said it was right. They said it was right.
